Pacific County Law & Order
A weekly column by Sheriff John Didion
Elected in 1998, John Didion immediately began working to accomplish the vision of teamwork within our communities that marked his successful campaign for the office of Sheriff.

A Citizens' Advisory Council was formed to monitor and advise law enforcement regarding strategies to help us reach our goal of a safe, healthy community. Working together with our citizens, much has been accomplished. New programs in corrections allowing juvenile incarceration if appropriate upon arrest, an expansion of inmate-staffed litter patrol along our highways and administrative booking programs have all helped insure swift, unpleasant consequences for breaking the law.

The Pacific County Communications Center (PACCOM) provides critical county-wide communications services for our citizens and all emergency services. Enhanced 911 technology helps our emergency workers reach you quickly and efficiently. The PCSO Civil Office continues to assist our citizens with the many civil processes and services that we provide to Pacific County.

The entire staff of the Pacific County Sheriff's Office is constantly working to achieve and maintain our mission statement: "To protect and serve the citizens of Pacific County through professional and effective law enforcement."
